I am writing to you to express my concerns about the effects of generative AI and chatbots on our students, and respectfully request that you consider at least a two-year moratorium on classroom AI use.
Many other districts across North America have started removing AI from classrooms. In September both New York City and Los Angeles school districts made AI unavailable to students, citing AI's harm to learning.
