This site was created by a group of parents in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We saw how AI was being deployed in schools across the United States and its encroachment into schools in Canada.
About PACES
The first chapter of Parents for AI Caution in Educational Spaces (PACES) was founded in New York City by Kelly Clancy, an educator and parent.
PACES NYC have had many successes, including a two-year moratorium on student-facing AI that passed in two districts. We hope that by sharing knowledge and solidarity that we can help defend our children’s rights to an education free from hype.
If you are interested in starting a PACES chapter in your own city, please contact us via email or one of our social media platforms.
